I am so surprised to find that I actually had a visitor to my blog. She wisely noted that it becomes a diary. I guess you'd think I've been doing nothing, if you looked for my posts, but in fact, I've had a lot of sewing mojo lately, and have been turning out lots of tops. This weekend I"m off to QuiltCamp here in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and will actually do some machine quilting on two small quilts...........my theory is you get better as you go along so being at camp for 4 days should produce some results in this department.

I want to post a few pictures, but am not sure how, and when I return from camp I'm going to figure it out!

Thanks, Wanda,, for stopping by.

February alreadY?

Where DID the month of January go? So far, I'm not so much of a blogger. In fact, it was just this morning that I remembered that I even have a blog going. January wasn't a huge month of accomplishment, but we did go out in the RV for two weeks, which is something I will not be doing again in the winter. There was a level of misery that made it less than fun. So, having returned home and getting my ducks in a row, I went to my fun bee yesterday and tomorrow, the PottyMouth Piecers are comning for our annual retreat here in Arnold. There are 7 of us , and we all sew together, for the better part of five days and the laughing inspires creativity and the togetherness inspires accomplishment. I'm excited to begin on my Kona solids and hope to end up with two tops. They will be both a bit modern which is something I am interested in exploring. I still find myself fascinated by the work of Gwen Marston and find V at Bumblebeans to be a daily shot in the arm. Perhaps in a few days I will have another worthy post.

January 2nd, a Houseful of Family

Lucky us, we still have 11 people here, plus the two dogs: a great dane and an English mastiff. It's crazy, but fun. Today they will head for home, and I will reclaim my studio space and get to work. It's also a wonderful football weekend, so some handsewing may be in order. I am not fast binder and I have many to do, so that seems like a good way to start.

I wonder if I will really do this blog, or if it will just be a diary of my life?

I can't believe I'm doing this

After seeing Julie and Julia, and then being prompted by the the lovely V at Bumble Beans, I am jumping in. I have no idea with what, but here I am.
